Have tried everything on the tv i can think of and found in the menu options. Have the tv on HDMI2 channel and the image is great and worked out the mirroring etc.
Done this with hdmi to dvi cable and adaptor all supplied by apple. Just got the new macbook connected to a newish Sharp Aquos HD tv. Why is that? Other computers (including macs) work with my television that way. When I connect my macbook air to my television with a HDMI and minijack I get no sound.
